Instructions for a No-Sew Fleece Blanket

Choose 1 1/2 to 2 yards two kinds of polar fleece material. One piece can be printed and the other one plain; choose coordinating fabrics. For instance, you can choose one side to display a sport logo or popular star, and the other side in a fabric to match. They should measure from 56″ to 58″ square.

Remove the selvage edge, you know, that funny edge that doesn’t match the others.

Put the wrong sides of the fabric together and lie on a flat surface. From each corner, cut out a 5″ square of fabric.

Cut a fringe on all sides 1″ wide and 5″ deep for the best effect. Take your time, and do this carefully.

Tie each fringe, front and back together, in an overhand knot. Voila! In no time, you have a warm and snuggly blanket.

This is so easy, you can do it watching TV or talking on the phone. The kids can help, and you can use this same method to make snuggly pillows to match.  Get the fleece on sale, and it just doesn’t get better!
